i went down to some base in encino, ca where they had a training simulation program that involves real weapons (non firing) and they are hooked up to air hoses and when you fire, it gives actual kick and such, but i got to hold a short gun, an at-15, an m60, an m16, a beretta pistol, and a 50 pound fully automatic grenade launcher. i wet my pants.

That looks like a SMAW you have there. Some police departments use a similar system called FATS (Firearms Training Simulator) that also uses air to simulate recoil. I dont know if the marine system has it, but FATS has a screen that displays a situation that you go through, deciding whether or not to fire, and showing you where your shots land.

i got to shoot the real things too :D  :D

(well, for the most part, we replaced the m60 with the m-240g, and the grenade launcher is called the mk-19)
