Heya,

After thinking about the 1000 mile drive I'm going to have to make to Mardi Gras, I got to thinking.

What are my all time favorite CD's that would be best for a road trip.

Not a CD that has one good song on it, but a CD that you can listen to from Start to Finish and enjoy.

Help me load up some music to take.

Here's some that I think will have to make the voyage.

GnR- Appetite
Poison- Open up Say Ahh
Def Lep- Hysteria
Beastie boys= License to Ill

Singles Soundtrack
Disturbed- Sickness
Saliva- Every 60 Seconds
Kottonmouth Kings- High Society

Here's a small sample of my fav's! What do YOU recommend!?

Any thing by Alice in Chains

Pantera - The great southern trendkill is good

Aerosmith - Get a grip or even Pump. Im not a fan of the new stuff :(

My all time favorite CD would be Sublime self title.

Superjoint Ritual - A Lethal Dose of American Hatred (Also on the top of my list)

Reel Big Fish has some good stuff. I dont know the name of the album off the top of my head, but if your into a newer punkish/ska-ish/bouncy rythym wind bands.

Nirvana - Nirvana
Orgy - Candyass
Sevendust - Seasons
Pod - Satalite
Godsmack - Godsmack
Mindless Self Indulgence - Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy
Greenday - Dookie

I cannot think of any newer CD's where the whole thing is good.

None of 'yall know how to roadtrip.

GRATEFUL DEAD. Phish will do in a pinch, but you need the DEAD!!! It's not a ROADTRIP without listening to "Truckin'"!

Then you can blast everyhting else. But you need to long-haul motor easy!

I didn't know you were a hippie Tyger. Nothing wrong with it. I guess the Cat suit should have been a warning sign;)

Umm... DUH? :D

I have Jerry Bears on my polar fleece jacket, AND on my belt. I go on a paintball road trip, I take a Jerry Bear WITH ME in my backpack! If I was born, oh, 20 years earlier, I WOULD HAVE BEEN AT WOODSTOCK!!!! The only diffrence between me and a hippy... Well, I bathe, and I don't smoke...

See, but I didn't mention the other stuff that makes good roadtrip music. Santana (And I'm talking ABBRAXIS!), Doors, The Who's "Tommy", Led Zep... Then you get to my Oakenfold CD's, Queensryche, Offsring, Enigma, Alice Cooper, Satriani, Vai.....

Just get Dave Matthews Band "Live at Central Park" CD...

The damn thing is 3 hours long, so if you listen from start to finish you'll have cut a big part of the trip down! (oh, it is also the best music I have heard... ever)

The Best of David Lee Roth
(How can you not sing/scream along with just about everything on this one?)

Ministry - In Case you Didn't Feel Like Showing Up [Live] / Jesus Built my Hot Rod [single]
(this will get you pushing that gas pedal to the floor)

Motorhead - Stone Deaf Forever [box set]
(5 discs, 99 freakin tracks!)

That's at least 600 miles worth of music right there. :)

Nine inch nails... VERY easy to enjoy an entire album, and still want to listen to it again.

Tool is also good for that, and thursday. Pretty much any punk.

any of the Incubus CD's, they are great for just getting up and going. I'm listening to the new right now, and it is AMAZING.

any John Mayer, especially Room for Squares, a cd that I've never grown tried of while driving, and I do alot of it.

Tool, MSI, both GREAT suggestions.
