Something in the planning for OES III. Missions involving using GPS systems to locate waypoints and/or objects in "enemy territory". Anyone ever done this before?

No..but it seems difficult to carry out. For starters, not very many people own or can afford $200+ GPS handheld GPS units. Some may not want to risk bringing them onto the field. Some are simply going to be unable to figure out the coordinates, and become lost. And undoubtedly Murphy's Law will come into play, and every GPS unit will be off the field for a break when the base recieves the mission. And on most fields I've seen, a GPS unit would be *slight* overkill. Sorry, but I just don't see this being a practical thing to do.

Trust me, I know what you mean about Murphy's law. Me and Murphy are at odds on a continually. GPS units are getting far cheaper than they used to be. They have some now for as little as $50-60. I will be providing the units anyway. There's not really much to using one.
