right now not much of an OC, but ive been doing extensive burning in, such as doing several diffrent cpu burn ins, doing memory and such its at 10x210

edit: ok i may beable to get the new pics up AFTER artvan comes and drops off my new couch for my room

EDIT: in the new pics u may notice a cathode missing on the top... that one exploded sorta, burned through the wire and arced a few cm and scared the **** out of me

so..many..empty..pci...slots...

how much did the WC system run you and how hard was it to set up?

ExtremeODD
02-03-2004, 04:34 PM
uhh the WC system was prob little over 260 after everything and the littlethings. it was easyish, had a few leaks, and had to fix.

edit: on top pic, if u look closely to the right, u can see my gun & its red barrel

I'd always be worried about springing a water leak :)

ExtremeODD

leaks dont just appear out of nowear usually, they usually happen from not clamping good enough, or a barb loose, its usually really safe

where was the leak when you found it????? i'd be scared of finding the leak inside the comp :-/

ExtremeODD

it was on my radiator (didnt tighten the clamp enought) and on my custom made resivour, didnt seal the barbs, all outside the comp

uhh so thats water... inside ur comp? :)
but serious tho, wat happens if a leak develops?

I 'dry' tested mine for a week before I turned the power ON in the rest of the Computer. Using distilled water only, for testing gives me the warm and fuzzies too.

Rumble - If you're just getting into water cooling, try these guys - http://www.ntcw.com/ . They carry the Swiftech kits which are way easier than trying to make one yourself. And those prices are Cad$.

Hey ExtremeODD - What kind of waterblock are you using?

ExtremeODD
02-05-2004, 11:30 PM
im using a dtec whitewater block, what that is for u nonextreme cooling peeps, is a waterblock that has a "bottlekneck" in the center barb that makes the water get REALLY turbulant right above the cpu core, where most of heat is asorbed by the waterblock, and then is transfered out the sides. my comp was about (i gotta type this out)

radion 9800pro 500 (when i got it) now its like 250
WD 80gig 90
maxtor 120 101
abit nf7-s rev2 90
cd-rw/dvdrom 100
fans and such 25
watercooling total 260-300
case 80

soo alittle over 1200, plus i didnt factor in my logitech mx 700

Looks good. You outta paint the frame black. Especially where all the drives go.

One of the guys in my house has the sweetest case. It's wicked simple looking. I think the front of it is just like yours. He just has one solid color though. I dont think it has a window on the side either. On the front, he has a little LCD screen. It's a bout 4 by 5 inches. He uses the screen for talking to people on AIM.

Also, you should make it beer cooled. You could put a tap in it somewhere too. That would be awesome.

heh that would make the tubes pop, it would lose all fizz. but im not painting it, if u noticed, most of my work is ghetto, im going for power, not beauty. now my old alienware case, that is going to look SWEET when im done modding it this summer :D (think plasmaball)
