A summation:
In a move that has surprised many pundits, the United League of Nations' (ULN) Council of territorial disputes today granted the Northern Euro-Asiatic Socialist Collective's (NEASC) territorial claims on Ukrainian territory the right to proceed. Proxy War number 282 (resolution) was declared early this morning after a marathon debate and vote in the UNL council chambers in Alexandria.
Lord Sutcliffe, the Strategic Coalition of European Democracies' (SCED) Ambassador to the ULN commented as he left the League chambers. When asked what he thought of the decision, the visibly upset Ambassador stated:
"The decision today by the Council is positively shocking and indefensible and amounts to little more than political hooliganism. To place the mantle of legal authority upon what amounts to continued and perfidious territorial aggression by the NEASC calls into question the very credibility of our system of World government."
The claim on Eastern Crimea is the third such claim lodged at the ULN by the NEASC in the last half year - all for "historical" reasons. NEASC's claims to Finland were successfully prosecuted in late November of last year following a humiliating defeat in their bid to annex Armenia in September. This unprecedented amount of territorial claims by NEASC, an economic and industrial superpower, has many veteran United League watchers talking openly of corruption and influence peddling.
According to the ULN's declaration of War, the NEASC has contracted with the October Storm to fight for their claim. The October Storm was the same mercenary unit contracted to fight for the NEASC in their claim on Finland in November, during which Columbian mercenary unit The Sons of Tlaloc were almost completely destroyed.
Fighting for the SCED are the Neo-Vikings, a unit comprised of "full-blooded Vikings," who have fought successful contract campaigns for corporate and political clients in the American and African continents.
