how to play .OGM files?

i downloaded a movie which was .OGM format, and i have no idea how to watch it. i installed the codec i thought i had to get, but then whenever i clicked once on the movie, before even double clicking to open it, windows would have an error and have to shut down explorer...i'm so confused...my friend has no problem watching .OGM movies...what am i missing?

i have the latest divx, xvid, etc...

It's an ogg vorbis media file. You can get the codec at these sites:

edit- i used the first link and now it works! thanks a lot. why does mplayer2 work so much better than windows media player for ogm files? anyone know?

I think it depends on what codecs you have, windows media works fine for me.
