I just got an X-Mag with a valve SN of 44XX, and I was wondering who got the first one? Did TK keep it, or one of the techs? and for that matter, who has the first 10 of 'em?

TK got #1, but sold it when he got the right offer from someone

i know that oldsoldier has 'old blue' which is x-mag #10

and i have #256

now the x-mags just have the regular x-valves w/o the special x-mag lasering, so its alot harder to tell what order they're in now

Ok, who has #1 and how much you want for it...

At what point did they change from X-Mag to just X? #400 something? I know I'm not the only one who's curious.

They changed the x-mag valve, to just an X so they could just make one x-valve and use it on all their guns. So there are is only one x-valve instead of 4 different variations.

i don't know who bought #1 from tom, you'll have to consult him on that one

and they switched the valves around #450-500 because i know they did one more batch after the factory team guns which went up to 430 i think

I have #9. I was on the short list to get #1, but Oldsoldier beat me to it. Ask him whose name is scribbled on the box. ;)

X-Mags should have a VV serial number instead of an XT serial number, thus the reason why the number went from the 100's to the 1000's.

The VV valves were Retro Valves to begin with, then got converted to X-Valves and now all valves except the standard AIR valve have just an X on them and a VV serial number to keep things simple.

:D :D :D Tom said that the first ten were reserved/first run ones, he reserved for special customers. I have no clue who owns the rest of em...but, I beleive I have the only working blue one left...not sure though. You wont find a low serial # out there...they were gifts, and, I am sure they all feel the same way I do: even if this thing dies, I am gonna keep it. It is just too damned rare to part with.

actually I play on the same team as John Sosta and his current X-mag (he has many) is number SS00001 (i.e milled on the side)

And he uses it still. Its the best X on the team.

I would then hazzard a guess at Tom Kaye or John Bonich having #2.

i think john sosta of AGDE has number 1 since he is the guy that makes it

I feel the same way about Emags #33 and #35 (the old Bonta ones). I'm actually in the process of restoring them back to their original configuration from the factory including the unique splash ano jobs.
