HA! 100 mph tape is Duct Tape or as some people wrongly think "Duck Tape". Hopper covers are personal preference.

Just a note: a lot of tournaments dont allow hopper covers, only tank covers.

Yeah, "stock" racing cars use like 200mph tape to change the aerodynamics and cooling characteristics of the car, if they need to do so in a matter of seconds, in the middle of a race (during a pit stop). They will tape up, say the outsides of the bottom radiator scoop, to deflect some air that would have normally gone to cool the radiator. That allows the car to run at a higher temperature.

Some tournaments don't allow neoprene hopper covers, but most all rec fields will allow them (all that I know of, at least). They protect your hopper, and might cushion/deflect 1 in 20 or so hopper hits. Some people have gotten cracked hoppers from hopper hits, which the cover might help with, but I have never experienced this.

In the past 2 weeks I have seen 3 hoppers busted at small backyard games. No one was hot either, SPyder, Carbines, M98's, plus my Mag, which is definitly not hot.
