Bolt that holds in valve assm.

Well i got a pretty big problem with it. Half of the bolt broke off inside the valve assm. and i cant get it out. This happened while i was using the gun. Anybody got any tips for me? And most of all why did this happen? any help is good.

is there any of it sticking out of the valve? if so just take a pair of plyers to get it. if not just call AGD u might have to send it in. also u might be able to drill it out but that would be very hard not to screw up the threads

How tight is it in? If its not very tight you may be able to push a pencel eraser down on it, and back it out that way.

go down to the local hardware store and get a broken screw/bolt extractor tool. Ask at the front, they should know what it is and where it is in the store. It should cost around $2-4. Bring the valve half w/ the broken screw. (for them to size it up)

The way to use it is drill a hole in the middle of the broken field strip screw (the package will tell you what size drill bit to use) then insert the extractor tool into the hole and turn counter clockwise the extractor will grip the broken half and pull it out.

Quick, easy fix, and less then shipping it to agd.

Hmm, I think i would be carfull about using an ordinary drill or dremel to go in, wouldn't it be fairley easy to slip, and mess up the threads? Now if you have a drill press or something like that, and can lock down the valve, and be sure your drilling straight, then I think it would be alot safer. Also, you have to be sure not to go right past the screw, and into the valve itself.

Just take your time drilling. The hole doesn't need to be real deep only about 1/8". Just enough for the extractor teeth to grab on to. Once again take your time when drilling, try a slow speed until you get the indent, then speed up some.

well if you have a pencil around use the eraser end to twist out the end of the Field Strip screw.

If that wont work use a pointy pick and find a ridge to grab and gently tap it out that way.

sorry bout the long wait football practice is long. But there is very little sticking out and i am not ganna drill it out, i dont trust myself with a drill and my valve : )
But what i want to know is why did this happen and will it happen again?
