I just got a used angel ir3 and the macro fitting is stuck in the reg, and no its not the stock one that came with it. Any tips on getting it out? Other than just putting muscle into it?

did you ask the seller what he used to seal it in there. If it's red (or any other permanent) form of loctite you need to apply heat. I wouldn't suggest going to heat untill you find out if it was permanent.

its not sealed in there. Its just a regular straight macro fitting but its in their way to tight.

well then
get one of those rubber jar openers, wrap it around the reg a few times (to avoid scratching), clamp it in a vise and muscle the damn macro out.

hey I traded the classic timmy for an ir3, I was going to but I got a hell of a deal. You think it was a good idea? How do you like them?

Never had the chance to play around with an angel much (maybe I'll buy one). Sounds like a fantastic deal though.

id put the fitting in a vise, and give the reg a good twist with a strap wrench. give it a few minutes with a blow dryer to loosen up the loctite.

or use a torch (propane) on the fitting to heat it up slightly then it will screw right out. (as long as it is not all cross theaded and that is why it is stuck. The torch will even get out the red "permenant" lock tite

here is SnYpER's bogus mathermatical equations

Wrench + Fitting = Wrench on fitting

wrench on fitting + hammer = Wrench on fitting about to get hit by a hammer

Wrench on fitting getting hit with hammer = there will be a small but great amount of force which will cause the wrench to make the fitting turn which will make it loose.
