I was looking around ebay and found this auction: EBAY AUCTION (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3664724225&category=10554&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1)

I emailed the guy and asked him what his buy it now price was and he said $86 shipped. I bought one and it's on it's way. I bought the black one, but I figuared someone else might want to buy the blue or red one. The guy said they will work on any mag rail and he gave me a warenty stating that if it didn't work on my mag then I could return it. Seems like a reall nice guy and has good feedback.

I remember seeing some of these bodies as CAD designs awhile back. Did anyone start making them or is it just this guy?

They didn't seem to sell very well however, but if you like the look, great deal for you. That is a very good price for a custom body.

I bought one of those off E-bay. Be carefull there is no steel ring in the body. The bolt spring will be sitting on the aluminum of the body. I e-mailed him after I bought it and he said he knows there is no steel ring there and sells the bodies as is. He also told me he makes them himself. I had assumed he had bought them raw from Extreme Depot.

I also bought on from Extreme Depot. That one had the steel ring and I have been very happy with it.

wow 86 is cheap!
now for the steel ring, couldn't AGD just hook you up if you asked?

ive heard that there are some bodies out there that arent made from slugs!!! they start with a tube of aluminum and just mill it to what they think the measurements should be. this is bad.

do not buy any body thats not made from an actual AGD slug. for example deadly wind makes all the bodies from slugs...dalara, karta, chord, chord v2. these bodies are well made and all the tolerances are dead on...no issues.

ask tuna sometime about this issue...he'll rant and spit for at least an hour on the subject. and since hes one of the few guys i really listen to (not just nod head and then ignore...sorry jon) its worth a closer look before you buy.

Thanks RRfireblade for that link. I was looking everywhere for it. They guy says they were not made from slugs and that he made them himself. If it doesn't fit right or I don't like it then I'll just return it or sell it on ebay for more. I still think $86 is great for this body. I'm sure I can get a steel ring for the inside at a hardware store. Also I haven't sold off my ULE body so I'll still have that to fall back on. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

It is not a standard steel ring and you need the spring clip.

If the body isn't machined from an AGD slug, then its highly doubtful that an AGD insert and clip will fit. The insert may fit, but there will be no groove for the spring clip to fit into to hold the insert in.

yes they take a lot of work to get them in there. Use a pen and it goes much quicker than trying to use just your fingers though.
