It's a place you go to do your laundry. A coin operated washing machine and dryer place. But your one to talk about spelling errors!

*coughs* And I'm one to correct on grammatical errors...
Your is not the proper word to use. You're (You Are) is the proper form to use in this case, IIRC.

(No offense, but improper use of your really razzes me. :) )

(No offense, but improper use of your really razzes me. :) ) You can't start a sentence with the word "and"!

You improperly capitilized my name.

Your name is a proper noun, thus it must be capitalized.

Correcting a moderator on grammar is generally grounds for a three day ban :D

Not to jump on the bandwagon here, but you can start a sentence with the word AND. It isn't a common practice, but you can. If I have the time I will look in some literature to show, if you really care.

You completey missed the point didn't you? We don't bother to correct spelling or grammer around here. As I was pointing out to the Author. However you missed it yourself didn't you? We overlook it and concentrate on the content and purpose around here.... No one cares if your a perfect speller...

Advice: being Anal retentive is not a requirement nor is it particularly admired here on AO. Correct all you want. But your waisting your time and be prepared for hostility. This ain't grammer school. Its the Internet! If that "razzes" you then your in for a long hard life kiddo

Unless it is the incorrect spelling of my name. My SN is spelled with a lower case letter on purpose.

Grammatical insouciance aside, y'all missed it entirely. Which comes as no surprise, you're all far too young to recall the Automat diners from the fifties.

An Automat was basically a big vending machine in the form of a diner, or small restaurant. Plates of prepared food were placed in little window-fronted boxes in a wall- you plunked your money in and opened the door to get whatever the dish was.

Then you went to a table and ate like in a normal diner. They were popular for a while- being "space age" and all that- but died out decades ago. They really weren't "automated" as the name implies, there were a couple of guys in back in the kitchen area that cooked everything, put it on the plates and placed 'em in the windows.

Doc.

god bless the retro future innovations...

It quite possibly took the #2 reason I would never work food service away... "Customer Service"

btw the #1 reason is... its "Food Service"
