View Full Version : X-valve or Retro-valve??? pros/cons?

I need to know which one is better for my money? pros? cons? stuff liek that please how much bps can both shoot? Is there more breaks? do i need other upgrades if I get these?

They are the same thing, basically. Retro valves (including RT valves, Emag valves, RT valves, etc) are stainless steel and heavier. These were discontinued when the Xvalve was released.
The Xvalves are aluminum and much lighter. Same functionality as the Retro valves.

The other consideration is wear and tear... I'll admit,
I bought into the hype and got an X-valve, but I have
a stainless RT pro valve for 10 years down the line when
the X is scarred/pitted and too worn out to cycle.

An incidental note is that my 10 year old 68 still
looks like the day it was new. My few month old X
already has a small ding where anno chipped.

Incidentally, the X is 4oz lighter than the RT pro valve.

only spend the money for an x valve if ure gona ULE ure gun, and are freakishly concerned about weight. simple as that.
