Translating the paintball language.

This bunker shown below is commonly known as the Dorito
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0011.jpg

This bunker is called a beam. But many players like to call it a laydown
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0003.jpg

Here we have a pillar like bunker. It's basically a cylinder but people like to call it a "stand up, pipe, pole, can, etc"

Cut the pillar in half and you get a "keg"

If you lay this cylinder on its side it can be called a "steam roller, or hay bale"
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0012.jpg

Here we have a cone. I don't see what's wrong with calling it a cone but other players call it a spike.
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0019.jpg

Snake...i don't think there is any other name for it
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0023.jpg

here we have a X...pronounced "EX"..or "Ecks"
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/multi/051-119-0021_2.jpg

this is a brick...commonly known as...a brick
http://www.actvil.com/static/eCS/Store/en/images/large/051-119-0008.jpg

If you call it something else please feel free to share it with us :)

Now for the field... This is very simple
http://jayloo.com/lib/get_file.php?id=1296

If there is a bunker on lets say...the 30 and the bunler happend to be a a cylinder or a standup. and...there happend to be a player in that bunker. you would say something like...

"There's one in the 30 standup"
or
"One in the 30 cylinder"

It all varys

And i learned this a while back. There is more to a snake than just snake. the part of the snake that extends out is called a "Knuckle" and the part that extends inward is called the "Elbow"

I've got a few zingers to add, careful, as we're a bit uncooth out here.

A Keg is the same diameter as a can, but half as tall (we call them barrels instead of cans, thus 1/2 barrel = a Keg :D )

Also, we have smaller cans, that are about 4' tall, and maybe 30" in diameter that we call nipples (stiff ones at that), I've also heard them called nubbs, or if you have chicks playing, we call 'em pumpkins.

Tombstones are just what they sound like, and usually come in two sizes.

Wedges are once again, just what they sound like.

An Octopus is really a tangle of two or three snakes, and a barrel or cone.

Blocks are just like bricks but bigger.

Bases are kinda shaped like the old time fuel oil tanks you see out behind Old Man Smither's house (name changed to protect the old and busted). We call them tanks around here, and have even substituted the real oil tank in their place once or twice.

Even reffed at a tourney once that had subbed in archery targets in the place of missing bunkers. (IE a turkey where a nub should have been, and a bear where a barrel should have been, which doubled as the flag station.)

That's about all I got.

Rockets
Pikachus (I think same thing as a nipple)
Carwashes
Those big Diablo mouth things
Caterpillars
Spiders
Crosses
Pigs

And thats all I can think of...for now:)

(a lay down with a can on the end) lol, that's hilarious.

At a pev's tournament a couple months ago there was this GIGANTIC brick/block, it was ridiculously enormous... most people called it a house. Our team decided that was no fun, so for no apparent reason we named it something that probably isn't allowed on AO. :)

You forgot about aztecs on X-ball fields :) Thats what we call em, I mean the little half-stand-ups that slant and have a flat top :).

We use the term crackpipe down here at proving grounds.

What is a rocket?

We also have subs, beer kegs, turrets, diamonds, goal posts, and a couple others.

At my local field there are bunkers set up with 2 spools on either side of a standup.. I'll give you 2 guesses on what we call that one. :D

generally, we dont have to ID the 50 yard bunkers as anything other than "the 50"..

WEDGE- basically isosceles triangles thats have a really long base and are only 3-4 feet high at the side, are played as a lay-down.

TACO, HOMERUN, DOGHOUSE- this looks like the houses you drew as a little kid. 5 sided, base, sides (equal to base in length) and angled tops that meet in the middle. these are about 4 feet hight at teh peak and 3 feet at the sides.... little kids can play them standing ---grre lucky--

TEMPLE- 10 foot tall triangle that is 5 feet wide, the tops are lopped off, making them look like piece of a shrine or somthing.

PIZZA SLICE- 6-8 foot tall triangle with a 4 or so foot base.

ANCHOR, SMALL TEMPLE- a 5 foot talk version of the temple... i guess about 1/2 the size overall.

we use most of the terms already discussed too...
