I'm a little antsy about putting out a lot of cash for a new adjustable tank when people seem to be dumping their old adjustables.

Is there a real performance difference between an "old" 2000-era tank reg and a modern one?

yes, they can... differences generally are flow and recharge rate. This doesn't meant *all* have these problems, but some may.

BASICALLY, yes they operate the same, but the newer ones will most defiantly have higher flow, newer designs, lighter regs, more consistant, more precision, ect. I'd recommend an 03 Conquest. Very light, supposebly the highest flow, small, and good looking.

I'm still trying to stop myself from getting an 04 Conquest reg for my Nitroduck tuffskin tank :(
