Its widley known where I am on the pro/anti smart parts situation... But to chase someone off the board cause they are on the other side is not the kind of thing this owners group is about.

Oh and another thing I draw the line in the sand about is postwhoreing... do you see me trying to chase you off the board for that?

kkthx & take this kind of crap back to PBN where it belongs

Maybe he joined before he was 12?? A guy down the street got it a few weeks ago, and he's only 15. I don't doubt that a 14 year old can get it.

The only way to get in to boy scouts before the age of 12 is if you go through cub scouts. Then and only then can you get in at 11 so that means he got it in 3 years. Impressive if true.

I did it in 2 years.. granted that was 16-18, but two* years...

Its tough, but possible...:D

And you cant work on your Eagle before you're in boy scouts... cubscouts dont count. So he did it in 2 years.

EDIT- I just realized me and paintbattler have the same amount of posts! weird...

*edited for spelling:rolleyes:

Firstly, i said the cub scout thing cause unless you had gone through cub scouts you cannot join boy scouts until you are 12 years old. If you were previously in cub scouts and recieved your arrow of light then you can join boyscouts before 12.

Cryer how in the heck did you do it in two years? You have to hold a position of responsibility for x number of months. star 4 months, life- 6 months, eagle-6 months. Thats 16 months right there, so your saying that you got scout tenderfoot, and second class, and you did your eagle project, and went to like two or three full week camps in only 2 years? I guess i have to give you major props cause it took me 6 years...

I didnt really start until I was 16. I was enrolled scouts since I was 12, but I didnt so much as attend the meetings until I was almost 16.

My first summer camp, I got like 50% of the required badges, and I could have had my Star (aside from the fact that I needed to hold a position of leadership for so many months, and this was my first month of participation).

I went to 1 real "summer camp" where I worked on merit badges the whole week (mostly I went to workshops or passed them off at home), the next summer, I went to Philmont. (by that time, I had all but like 3 merit badges and my project for my Eagle)

I'm pretty proud of it:D

Both my brothers recently earned their Eagle. One at 17, the other, 15.
