View Full Version : Better than Q loader ?

I just found this loader that looks like it could be (arguably) better than the Q. My egg got cracked in two spots from a hot shooter the last time I played. Everyone complained about him but ref did nothing. Anyway enough bad mouthing refs. I'm lookin for a new loader and dont know what to get. I like the Q and this new one, but I dont like not being able to reload when I have a chance instead of reloading when I have to. What do you guys think?

Its near the bottom of the Page.

Read the fine print :) "Of up to 27 balls per second."
The Q will always sustain a minimum of 30 balls per second.

Right thats why I said arguably. It can hold 140 tho. Q can only hold 100. And if you are shootin 30 balls a second you only get 3.3 seconds.

Yeah, but you are kinda missing the point of the Q-Loader. It gets the loader off the top of your marker.

Right thats what I was also considering. Sounds like you guys vote for the Q. Does anybody else have some input (or is it imput)?

Has ANYONE tested that? And I mean using a setup similar to the WARPIG hopper line-up.

Dump tests are 100% pointless.

Yes I have, and several other local players (who are
on AO) can also verify it...

Brass Eagle Stingray with a modified sear, cycling at
40bps+ (aka paint blender) with the qloader held directly
on top (no feed tube) firing full auto successfully with no
breaks (98 balls counted), with 16 prewinds on the pod.

I'm hunting down a digital video camera so I can
post the sillyness... I want to go Angel Fly/Timmy
hunting with one. :)

You do know its very hard pressing to find someone that shoots over 20 bps anyway right?

Heres the formula for determining your true number of BPS:

(BPS You THINK you were shooting) - 5 = True Bps you shot

I think you are right glickman but its probably closer to -50%. Most people shoot BS instead of BPS.

What? 16 pre-winds? You must've been using Proball for it not to simply break during that process. I know they suggest maximum of that, but dang the minimum of 8 is enough from what I've seen of the Q.

rumor has it that they are working on 140 rnd tubes...

It uses constant torsional springs, the feed system
applies pressure to each ball individually. They come
shipped with 11 prewinds and that's what I've been
running on mine. There's no problem. 8 is on the low
end of the recommended prewinds. You'll notice a difference
in the snappiness. There's no problems with 16 prewinds
at all.

For those who question the feed rate, FYI. The cycle rate
of a blowback missing it's sear ranges from 40-60 cycles
per second. To verify, if you or a friend has a
stingray, simply remove the lower frame, gas up, pull
the bolt back and let go. The lack of sear will cause
it to oscillate at 40 verifiable full cycles per second.

I was using some old PMI premium in it, just FYI.

Uhm... You do know not all people operate in semi-auto
mode, right?

Maybe you've just started playing, but when blowback
semi's made their first appearance the first thing
people tried was modifying the sear to make it full
auto. The cycle rate was considered too fast at the
time to be useful for any practical purpose. Some
people tried rate limiting springs and friction brakes,
but since a blowback uses the hammer to regulate the
amount of air released from the dump chamber, it
led to velocity inconsistency.

Pshaw... Young'uns...

Well back to what Chris wanted to know that loader chris is just an EggII with a shell that accepts special pods so that you can reload it by just takin an empty pod out and putting another one in.

Buy yourself a Warp Feed.

Look for that soon.

Also, something I've noted in the Q Loader manual... It says not to use brittle paint if you are going to shoot at a high ROF.

My Empire Reloader works perfectly on my Omen, and I shoot as fast as I possibly can. Of course, with Cam Feed, I don't need to worry about breaks :p

Personally, I think that most of this hopper stuff is a pissing contest. If you're emptying your hopper in 5 seconds consistently, that means you should practice tactics a bit more.

i think all these new loaders are getting out of hand, they are so fast but hold so little that it is pointless. Though i like the idea of the Q, but agd has a new concept for a loader, i wana c how that is gunna be.

i agree by banshee.

warp feeds are great. i used to use one. but i got rid of that body.
its right now on my angel speed.
i may order an envy to test it out. plus kinda looks like that gun from the game halo. the needler. if i order it i will put it up to the test of my warp and my friends q-loader. and for your reason of getting this it holds 140 rounds. well q-loader is making one. i remember hearing when people were complaining about 100 round only then a feild owner aying they are trying to get a good design on a 140 round.

just wait stick it out for a little bit andone of them is going to pop with new desing. if no luck just get a 12v revvy and if you dont have one a intelli...

I knew my title would get people to check this thread out. Anyway, I got a couple of questions. I heard Halo's break and are heavy? Is there any truth to this?

yaddatrance
03-19-2004, 02:58 PM
All hoppers break and Halos are really heavy...

If I were to choose an over the top loader, I'd
go for the Rico Apache... It's like 1/3 the weight
of the Halo and lower slung than the egg 2.

I just use a Ricochet Apache on top of my Warp Feed. It's fast enough. I don't need a Halo.
