So what do you guys think the average age for a pro player is? I am jsut curious to see. How many years do you think they've been playing? How often do they practise? Before their big sponsers how often did they play?

/trying to liven things up around here/

He plays for oakland, his name is tyler harmon

With xball, us younger kids can be used more effectively, cuz we're smaller (well maybe not me lol) and faster and can get down the field to mow someone without having to worry too much about the effects of that on the game, since Xball moves much quicker.

I myself am 16 and have played for 6 years, and was lucky and got on a team willing to teach me while i still sucked so I was able to play twice or three times a week under sponsorship.

Yeah, lots of the new xball teams are getting younger and younger. LA ironmen are an extremely young team. I want to say no one is over 19, and they have 2 16 year olds. I think thats why aftershock is sucking, I mean there team is full of old men:)I think though pros on average are like 22-30ish? Paintball is just getting younger and younger...

I'm 23. ;)

Seiously, I have been playing tournament ball for a little over a year. But I'm no pro. don't really want to be a pro, but if someone asked to, I don't think I could say no...

I think that the ages would range from 17-23. I think beyond that people start taking it easy on paintball and spend more time with their family. They just dont have that much time to devote too it unless their Dynasty who make a living off of paintball.

LA is super young, but Billy, Eric, Shane and Brian are definitely older than 20.

i would say that the average age of the pros is more like 24-26 years old... most of the pros are out of school... or didnt go... working full time, either in the industry or not... and playing alot...

look at teams like aftershock, bad company and many other teams that have been around for a few years... many of their players are in their 30's and have been playing for over 10 years.

The age of the "average" pro player is 16-22.
The Age of the REALLY good, better than average pro is 28-38.;)

Fun with syntax,
Brent.

the great thing tho, is that even if you getting a little "pudgy" and "older" you can still find ways to effectivly play back and so on...

Some of the AA's are up there.

Ollie Lang was the youngest pro at one point I think.

Agreed actually, although lower the age to 24-32. The guys who have been around longer just know more. Without our old guys in back i don't know what we'd do lol...

...i have been playing for almost 6 years (about 25 days of pb a year or more, i try)...but some wouldn't consire me a "pro"...just because im young (15)...that doesn't mean you can beat me :D

...younger in someways is better...more hyper/sometimes faster...but you still need experience...then again when ever i go play i see at least good hand full of like 10-13 yearolds...

Pete "Mr. U" Utschig played for LA last year, but he is now back home with NYX.

My dad used to play back for our 7-man team but his knees were killing him, but he didnt want to quit the sport all together, so he became our coach. He's 49 and will be 50 in May and in my mind when he played back on my team I thought he was the most dependable back player you could find.

I remember seeing a twelve year old playing on a high level team. I'm pretty sure it was a pro team.
