Crazylad wants back into AO.

He has all the sudden emailed me appologizing. Now this if you recall is after he went off the deep end and after I banned him he flooded me with no less than 11 nasty emails calling me every vile thing in the book. Sending me pornographic and vile pictures with them and such as that. Then I hear nothing from him until now. At first just asking to get back in. I point out there is no appology and now I sort of get a simple one. "Sorry about those emails I was mad". So I really am not all that thrilled but I decided to let you AO members decide if he deserves another chance. Fact is he had several before and could never control himself but... well.. you vote and I go with the members votes on this. I not apposed to giving anyone chances. But in this case I just don't have a warm fuzzy about it all.

He had his chance to be nice and that was before he started sending the emails. Had he just disappeared and came back later, I'd vote yes.

No he can't see it.

My issue was the flood of emails that were exceptionaly nasty. There is no way I can even post them here. And his assuming you can do that and it not affect you later on down the line. You have to learn not to burn bridges...

I'm obviously in the minority, but... the original e-mails were definitely out of line, no way to dispute that. But I think the fact that he's trying to contact you so much later, in a (well, I assume) civilized manner, means maybe he's grown up, and realized that tantrums aren't the way to go.

Or maybe I'm just an optimistic idealist in the extreme minority. :(

I saw everything he did (apart from the e-mails), and while I would normally say to give folks a second or even third chance…… I am hesitant to do so this time.

You have to ask yourself, how much is too much? And if you let him get another account, I can find a couple other members who have done FAR less than he has that should also be let back in. At what height will the bar be set, or lowered to?

Well I was just looking through the records. He was banned several times and in one case he made a new account. Then the final incident occured and then he went off. So the record is pretty clear that over a fairly extensive time period he was a recurrent problem. If that helps anyone decide.

Well, I was going to say give him another chance, but after reading his emails that he sent you to ask if he can come back, I would say no. Sounds more like he wants to be unbanned so that he can come back and cause problems to me... Sounds a bit 'fishy.'

I also distinctively remember him flaming pretty much everybody, including me.

He had his name changed to crazylad if I recall, what was it before?

based solely on your extensive record of problems he has caused, emails, and his (very) unsincere apology, I'd say (long list of expletives) no. I must not have been a member before he was banned. the only way i could say for sure he is sincere and would change would be to confront him in person and watch his body language as the list was read to him and watch his respones. best way to be sure.

On another note, if a mod bans you he obviously thought he was justified, and complaints should be taken to whoever is in charge of the site.

well last i checked the legality of such an action isnt really um well legal. and chances of anyone dumb enough to what he did wouldnt know to do it and if he did i doubt he'd last very long before someone found out

And somebody asked what his name used to be before CrazyLad, it was something like "Ascreenam3" and he got it changed for obvious reasons... like, his name sucked. :p

Sam had a good point, people have been banned for lesser reasons, and letting him in after a perm/IP ban could open up a whole new bag of theoretical worms... god I'm such a top notch fence-rider. :(

Moving past that, I didn't know he was banned before. In that case, screw that. I'm a mod on another board where people that are banned use proxies and set up several accounts so they can keep being annoying. It's not the kind of thing you want to let go if you can help it.
