ouch 14 over, thats gonna hurt the ole wallet...

pray for the judge to allow you to take defensive driving, thats all I can say....LOL

I got pulled over last week for the first time, bored local cop showing off for a female officer traine... non properly grounded licence plate light= bah...

HOWEVER, being local and in good favor with the local Police folk, and having just got my truck inspected last week, I didnt even get a warning, but when both got out and started approching the trucko, and not really knowing who was on duty, well, wasnt very comforting...LOL

atleast it wasnt 21 over then they could throw reckless driving in there easily also.

a good rule of thumb is to read the signs with the white background and black numbers and dont go more then 8 numbers about it :p

Get your mom to call the DA. Sometimes if you explain that this is your first ticket and etc etc he will drop the ticket and only make you pay court costs. They do that here for most tickets under 20mph.

To quote Nelson: Ah-Hah!

Try and get defensive driving class. Be nice and respectful to the judge but not over-the-top.

my grandma has never gotten a ticket in her life and she got one finally and the officer excused her b/c it was her first. Try using it was your first time excuse.;) It works for more than one thing too!;)

look some states allow you a no points ticket its a larger fine plus court cost
and sometimes you can talk to the prosecuter about paying a lil more of a fine to get no points sometimes double the fine

heh, fun isn't it? don't worry man, it'll work out. i picked up a 10 point, $207 ticket a few months ago and i got it down to 2 points and the fine was only $102, so don't sweat it too much. court isn't that bad, just dress really nice and be very respectful, the judge appreciates that.

worse pull over ever for me was wreckless, racing on highway, and 99 in a 65, got all that to 4 points and a nice chunk of change. with no lawyer
