After a few month of looking for a replacement for my trusted Gerber 500, I finally broke down and picked up this:

Ken Onion's 2002 knife of the year, Rainbow Leek.

Man is it nice, I was a little unsure about how I'd like an assisted opener, but after a few times it's like second nature.

Very nice! I'd be afraid to use it for anything though.

Very nice. Ive got a Kershaw, which is done by Ken Onion. Its assisted-opening as well. Half straight-edge, half serated. The handle and blade are all black. The knives are top notch.

I kinda felt the same way at first about the assisted-opening, but it was very easy to get used. This is my second one.(would still have the first but my older brother has sticky fingers!:() I bought my first one at The Outdoorsman for 80 bucks then my second one at Wally world for bout 50 bucks Woot!

That's assisted? Is it as thin as it looks in that picture? The handle of my Ken Onion Whirlwind seems a lot fatter than that one.

Yep it's assisted. And it is that thin. That's what I really like about it compared to the SOG SAT knives.

This thing is positively svelt:)

I was a little worried as well about the finish being durable, the TiNi is pretty tough. You just can't use it for a hammer is all.

You can find these on EBay or online.

I stole this one for 50 bucks. :D

Nope, that's the knife in person. The pic doesn't do it justice.
