my girlfriend made it four days without sleep during college finals, and then promply had a mild nervous breakdown. The longest I ever did was four and a half days also during finals. I entered some weird kind of jim morrison esque stupor after the second day and I also started to hallucinate. College is great:)

The longest anybody has stayed awake is 11 days. He suffered from severe temporary mental disorders. He lost all perception of time, colors were strange, he heard things differently than we do, ect. It was basically like sensory deprivation. He is doing alright now I think.

very impressive i couldnt handle that much though i love sleeping 2 hrs each night for a week straight.. stopped that when i was driving home on the freeway felt my head hit my chest heard lane dividers looked up and saw rear end of semi within 20 feet from me.. good news was that was one hell of a wake up call!!!
