Hey all ... have a break from Autocockers since around 2000 I have decided on going back to one for S&G ... so I need some advice on a good in-line reg.

Setup as it is right now;

Body: Warp Feed left autococker body cut down to mini-turtle.
Front: Palmer RAM, MicroRock LPR w/2xQEV's.
Grip: Eclipse E-Blade.
Internals: Turtle internals.

I was thinking of an AKA Sidewinder for the inline, but have read that you should not put in more then 800psi into one. I dont want to get another tank, and my current is a "preset" ~850'sh PSI tank ...

Will this be okay, or do you think it could cause an issue?

What other regs do you recommend ... I was thinking of a Palmer inline, but never really was a fan of the way it looks (yes I am vain) ...

Either the Sidewinder or the Macdev Gladiator. Also check out air-powered (http://www.air-powered.com) to find out anything you need to know.

Actually, I'd have to check to be positive, but I think you're only supposed to put up to 800psi into the Sidewinder..

Either way, I'd say (in no particular order)

AKA Sidewinder
MacDev '04 Gladiator (not '03)
Palmer Stabilizer / Fatty

Yeah you are right I meant to say "should not" not "should".

Sidewinders work fine off of presets, been using one in one form or another for 2-3 years, never let me down.

Just don't get an ANS Gen-X2. Sure it regulates well but it will be ugly, hurt your hand, and cost you more than it's worth all at the same time.

Yeah so far the sidewinder is on top ... another reason is that I am running a Q-Loader on this and the sidewinder is a good shape to clamp it to LOL ...

Thanks, hope to have pics soon when it completed.

I run a HP Preset on my Viking no problems.

Here is what I would recommend on a cocker or ECocker.

Sidwinder
Black Magic (very underated)

Sidewinders and Stabs are always a good reliable choice.

Often overlooked is the WGP inline regs. You can find them for very cheap and they work just as well as the regs mentioned above.

I'm one of those that you can tell me something a hundred times and MAYBE I'll buy it. But if you SHOW it to me once and prove to me it's better I won't use anything else. Crossfire did that for me with their N2 systems years ago and they're all I shoot now. They recently did the same for me with their RDB regulator. It's the most consistent, high quality thing I've ever seen. That's not me trying to endorse it, just my opinion. It works, it works WELL, it's consistent as HECK and it's relatively inexpensive. Gotta love that.

I didn't think that the crossfire tests were as fundamental as they could have been.

From the tests I've seen, and a friend with a dyno set up similar to AGD, here's my picks:

1) Palmer Fatty
2) AKA Sidewinder
3) Palmer Stabilizer

IF you have the stock WGP reg, by any means KEEP IT. It is one of the best reg available... although it's a PITA to adjust
