What is the best barrel to use on an X-mag. I prefer 12-14" barrels.....any suggestions?

Anything but a freak...

Scepter, Kaner, Empire, SM1, Pipe. All good kits. Freak blows...

My 2 cent on the subject. I have a five insert Scepter kit and it is awesome. For your price range you can get a three insert scepter from topchoicepaintball.com for about $115.00. can call them and get the inserts you want and always get more of the inserts later to complete the kit when you have the money. I'm very satisfied with my kit and most paint fits in the .688 insert. If you run blaze or inferno then the .684 insert should do you well. Good luck in your selection and try different kits on other folks guns to see if you like it. :D

Thanks for the input. I shall shop around and see what I can find.

Also, how would you rate the stock barrel on the X-mag compared to other stock barrels on the same price range guns?

I don't know many people that shoot the stock barrel on any gun, high end or not. Can't help ya there.

Ok. I was just wondering. I may have to shoot the stock barrel for a couple of weeks till I get enough cash to buy an upgrade barrel. Although I'm undecided as to which barrel or barrel system I may get.

Is the X-Mag stock barrel anything like the ULE Custom stock barrel? Because that barrel is just as good as any aftermarket barrel.
