As cheesy as the first one was, it was very entertaining. I have zero expectations for the second, especially if it was straight-to-video. I'm sure that if I buy a bottle of Captain Morgan and a 2-liter, this one will be just as entertaining.

I never even heard of the sequal. THe first was sweet, as in good action. But the story line was a little meh, but who pays attention to that anyways... ;)

The book was absolutely awesome.

However, instead of focusing on the political aspect of the movie, they just focused on the action.

The book was great, I reccoment it highly.

Would some one please be willing to tape it for me? i dont get encore, and im a big Starship Troopers fan, ive seent he first movie, and watched the cgi show, as well as read the story. Please? Il pay fer the tape if necessary

The movie was entertaining but no where near as good as the book. The stories were barely the same. They left out the really cool power armor and made it look like bullets work better at 5 feet away.

The hot chicks did help ease my disappointment.:D

I can tape it for you. I get the Encore channels. That is where I saw the preview. This was not straight to video, but an Encore movie making it's world premiere. Not all cable movies are bad though. Did anyone here ever see "Thick as Thieves"? It was an awesome HBO original starring Alec Baldwin and Michael Jai-White.

dont forget alien, which btw was a far better movie and worthy of a sequel.

is it just me or is it kinda sad that when one of the best known sci-fi books of all time relies on the hot chick factor when its made into a movie.

That is awesome! Does anyone know if Paul Verhoeven has anything to do with the sequel? I think he is an awesome sci-fi director, even if his films are borderline cheese (see Total Recall, RoboCop and HollowMan).

I thought the first Starship Troopers was brilliant, despite the acting. :p Good rebound after Showgirls. :rolleyes:
