OK, OK, OK, so I first saw this gun and was like...maybe it will grow on me like the DM4, which is just starting to settle in. Well when I pull up for practice today a guy on the team has a Freestyle. Haha! Of course, it turned out to be very nice looking, and the anno is great. Lets look at some stuff:

Weight- HA! Not a thing to this gun, with a Halo AND a 68/45 it was still lighter than my 2k2 Timmy with a Revvy and 48/45. Compared to the Alias, it feels a bit better, because it just seems to balance out nicer. And balance, is good.
:D

Speed: Once again, amazing! Gun flew outta our hands almost. The owner who is like thee pimp on guns still has to work out the trigger because he said there was a way to get some bounce, but other than it felt like a Timmy with no trigger spring, but with a nice magneticish return. It was a great trigger, and you could easily dump a Halo in no time, very addicting.

Kick, accuracy whatnot: Amazing,..most high end markers are, this is no different. Works sort of like a Matrix as I see it, the back comes off and leads to a sorta Automag Matrix spool valve setup, but apparently a ram directly pushes the bolt, dont quote me on that. Gun has no kick, even at ripping fast speeds, does not really budge.

Overall, marker is great. Its not mine, but I think I feel obliged to clear up some of the worries of this gun. Designs for markers are definately changing, for better or worse, so I guess we shall have to deal with it, and the looks are pretty good once you really SEE it. After the owners successful B2K2 setup that he practically made on a mill, I think I really owe ICD more than I thought I did. They make great markers and dont think that trend has ended with the Freestyle.

 Oh..the Alias is pretty kool too,the mowers are equal. ;)

after paintballing today i came to a conclusion......its stupid to pay all of this money to get a small fast gun because in doing so, you're just spending a lot of money to spend even more money on paint. today i saw a man with a phantom pump eliminate 3 guys with intimidators (newest, hottest kind might i add) so i thought, hmmm with the approxamate 4 balls he spent in an approxamate 2 minute skirmish with these two guys (given the timmy owners dumped maybe 2 pods each during the fight) did those two guys learn that accuracy by volume really isnt all that its cracked up to be!?

im coming clean with the fact that i have a ~$650 dollar gun and that im not the one to talk about having an expensive paint hucker, but it just made me think today seeing this, and how the phantom user actually used his brains instead of his two fingers (a helpful lesson for those who have trouble dating) to overcome the situation. its just amazing.

this is coming from a guy that went from a FAAAAAAST electro to a mechanical cocker that requires a full back and forward motion of the trigger to fire instead of a finger twitch. the reason i did this downsize is because i blew a macro line on my gun one day and couldnt use it so i had to use a TIPPMANN PROLITE (!!!!!) and having to actually THINK about what was going on at hand instead of blazing forth with a rope of paint and after that day i just got the urge to use mech again and who knows maybe i'll go pump some day which would be awesome for my budget haha. anyways, that day my gun was down, i couldnt use volume to fight with so i only used 1000 rounds in an 11 hour period (yes 11 hours www.hollywoodsports.com open from like 9 to 11 i think) and if i had my other gun i would have probably used about 2500 rounds in that period of time. but yeah its definately something people should think about.

sorry about the rant :)
