mmm, too bad you arent able to mount it horizontally, since you have that battery pack in the way. great looking gun though:D .

i too have a Q, and if it wasnt for the apparent lack of mounting spots id love it, but i did have a solution to that, but they will be put to an end if the victory 35 board for my halo i just bought proves its ground

Hey to make it a little more tight, why not turn the qloader around and push it all the way in, up to the battery pack.

I hope that made sense. Basically, turn the Qloaders 'Head' Around 360*.

accualy i just ordered an nw quick change thingy and a uni mount (and an ultralight :D ) which should balance it out fine however i think its balance like that is just about even with a hopper because of the less amount of weight, however i also picked up a vert adapter for mags and im gunna bolt that on my warpmount to make a qloader tank mount thing which will be nice :).

and can make a video of loading a pod if you really want to see its kinda self explanitory though... you basically either prop the silo or hang it over your shoulder pop in the pod and crank the crank and shake the silo as needed.

I was about to suggest this...

Turn the q around, so the hose comes out the back and to the left. It will be much cleaner that way...

One thing I've considered, is getting a highrise mag body, and mounting the Q to that, laying parallel to the body.

Qloaders suck.

I have one.

They simply do not hold enough, and you cannot carry enough.

Only consider one if it will honestly fit your style. Almost pump-style.

FutureMagOwner
03-28-2004, 06:25 PM
well i do that because:

1. i can :D

2. i already have the proper length and stack and stuff for that and im lazy

3. i dont have it directly on the battery and 360'ed so i can grip the battery like i prefer to and so i can remove it to charge it.

owned! :D just kidding :)

what problems did you have? i actually found a great very fast way to load a q loader if you have the right tools ;) ;) :D :D (ask and you shall receive :D )

FutureMagOwner
03-29-2004, 03:21 PM
hehe well ive sent my halo in how many times now and its come back BROKEN how many? (ill give you a hint it starts with thr and ends with ee ;) ) its all fixed except it came back the last time with a broken battery pack thing... 3 bucks to replace but i dont really feel like paying it after sending it back so many times (they can replace the shells that didnt need to be replaced for free but didnt change the battery pack...)

anyway i dont mind its almost there however its use is dwindling to me since my egg is working well enough on my gz and my warp wont work on it without an intellifeed (not enough vibration lol)

o well q loader doesnt have fancy pants electronics which means i dont have to buy batteries or have to worry about them dying ALL THE TIME!!!

My q-loader and I did not have technical problems that were entirely its fault... I will admit that my not liking it has to do with it outsmarting me. And outlasting my short patience. So I play speedball cause after like ten minutes in the woods I get bored and start walking towards the heavy brush my opponents will be in... its me

But, specifically - I could never get the right number of prewinds... I think that was the problem, not that I didnt try a bunch. They would not feed on the field, tehn I wuold pull the hose (which maybe I had pinched, I dont think so but maybe) and it would shoot out 100 rounds onto teh ground instantly. It was breaking balls going into teh chamber (to many prewinds) and then I would load a pod and that one wouldnt work, so I would load another... and another... it got annoying.

Loadign it was a pain - my richoet on a bracket and then the spinny thing (good technical name). Well I had to wiggle the richochet from time to time to get it to work, and the silo just sucked

All in all, a little more time invested, a little more patience I could have been happy with it, I think.. but I got aggravated and well.. I play paintball to relax.

you took apart the pods didnt you.... you need to make sure the spring is properly aligned along with plenty of full rotations not clicks mines uber reliable now before i was smacking it and stuff to get it to start loading and it was because the spring wasnt alligned

JT2002
03-29-2004, 07:34 PM
honestly, i did just about 10 full turns for prewinds give or take, i wasnt realyl specific. another thing i found was that sometimes the core spindles were out of line a place, so u have to pull it out and turn it 90* to line up teh highest part of the core with teh opening inthe loader. ripps on my timmy like crazy, but lack of compact setups are turning me away from it

You might be right... someday I might have to try it again... or not. You have to understand, I started with six pods... it ended wtih five after a particularly annoying failure.

03-29-2004, 08:51 PM
i know what you mean lol just check out the manual if you still have the rest of them and it will show you what i mean about the spring alignment i was doing everything right except that and was having the problems you described

Very interesting idea.

I just plain out hate q-loaders though. They are aweful. You have to buy a new open ended harness for the pods if you don't have one already and what not. I tried on and didn't like it at all.

Future mag owner- Why did you do that to such a nice mag!!!! I mean a x-valve, ultralight, and unimount would make it pure secks, but why that?

FutureMagOwner
03-30-2004, 08:21 PM
errr ultralight and uni mount on order but not for secks reasons and why spends 200 bucks for an x-valve? they dont match the gun anyway

and have you ever used a q loader? while its different than regular loaders its still good and out performs the conventional ones in other aspects i feel

FutureMagOwner

new pics, crappy but pics none the less. i got my first of 4 shipments today which is a ultralight front and mag vert adapter (the ultra light back was out of stock so i ordered that separately) with the vert adapter i ghetto modded warp plate into a tank mount and its very stable :)

Why yes i have, i really don't understand why people care about removing the top of the hopper to get it out of the way. Its simple...Lean the hopper in!. I know its shocking but its better then a q-loader and warp. I don't like either to tell ya the truth.

Why get an x-valve? Resale, weight and looks. Well if your already getting a ultralight you pretty much taking the only chrome thing off your gun which is the barrel. The only thing left is the trigger.

tuck your hopper in something else sticks out...

and plus i can shoot like a semi normal person which means i might accualy hit someone :D

and im not selling my gun and it looks the same shape and the anodizing doesnt match either of the 2 colors i have in my planned colors

Have you played with it? And is 100rnds enough?

Thoughts? Feelings? Aspirations for the future?

i havent played played with it however i have crawled around the areas in the back yard not covered in dog crap and been shooting and stuff and its holding up good :)

and my aspiration for the future is to live past the 17 years old i become on april 5th ;)

04-02-2004, 05:03 AM
I think I already reviewed the q in this thread. I have played with it, and anyhow, I do not feel it is good for most becuase it doesn't hold enough and the whole "forceing you to reload on schedule instead of when convenient and not be able to shoot while reloading" thing. It's like going into a game with half a hopper. And qloaders are a lot bigger and heavier than pods so it's not like you'd carry 8 of them onto the field even if you could afford to.

viperx1_1000
04-02-2004, 03:22 PM
Good choice, good choice. No madder what anyone else said i think the q-loader was the best decision i ever made for my cocker. Although, i can have it on my regulator so it's horizontal, that vertical thing looks goofy, but, looks aren't everything.;)

Slimm Jimm
04-02-2004, 04:17 PM
I kicked around getting one and ultimatly decided that I on occasion need to shoot waay to fast and to much for it to be of much use. But if I did get one for an emag, I would try to find a new place for the battery, and then make a mount to hook it up where the battery went. Would probably eliminate any weird feelings of having two grips up front. That and a warp body. short hose, clean top, and it looks good.
