I am replacing the guage on my tank and I was wondering when I put the new one on what should I use to hold it in the threads?

White Teflon
Yellow Teflon
Red Loctite
Blue Loctite

It might be better/safer to let your local shop do it for you.

blue loctite. DO NOT USE RED! Your air fittings will be too tight with red and will not be able to come off without something to heat it up to 212*. You may think that it's a good idea since they will never move, but trust me, it's not a wise thing to do. With teflon tape you have to be careful not to get any inside the reg/gun/asa or it could cause problems. Blue loctite is your safest and easiest bet.

loc tite is not expensive at all, but I forgot how much it cost. It is not a good idea to use teflon tape, blue loctite is the way to go.

I used teflon tape on my guage.

Loctite is cheap, can get a nail polish size bottle for under 5 bucks of the blue goo
