if i need the average of d2 thru d52... can i type in

=AVERAGE(D2 : D25)?

that's the proper syntax for adding all of the values.

if you want an average, use =AVERAGE(cell1:cell2)

cell 1 being the first cell

and cell 2 being the last cell.. with all the cells inbetween too right?
the error was it showed a blue diamond and 0
