Need help upgrading to a 'mag

hey guys, this is my first post, so here goes -

right now i use a tippmann model 98, as much as i like it, i want something a little nicer, so i figured an Automag would be the way to go. I've had my eyes on the TKO mag kits at actionvillage.com, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them, are they worth the price? Regardless of that what is a reccomended 'mag setup for around 500 (including an HPA system, dont wanna use c02 on a nice mag now would i?) that would be good for a first time 'mag owner? And what are some things to shy away from, dont wanna get ripped off. Thanks for any input!!!

and i personally think you would be better off looking for a mag in the buy/sell/trade section here on AO. people will have mags for sale with upgrades for about the same.

a used mag isnt really a big problem they are very rugged markers.

oh and thing i would shy away from are none AGD valves
such as ANS or the smartbox they are both mods/valves that do nothing but take money out of your pocket.

you could probably get a nice retrovalve mag in that price range.
xvalves are nice but they are expensive

I'd look for a nice Mag in the buy/sell/trade forums here. You can probably find a nice lil RT mag, maybe even with an intelliframe, and tank for about 500.

definatley DONOT get a TKO kit, i went with a minimag, and upgraded that, id say you should go with a RT ULE custom.... those are nice

Just get a ule RT custom instead of spemding 600+ upgrading a used automag like I am.
