Are the worth anything? I heard that only a few are floating around, so does that make them rare?

And on a sidenote, how do you read the serial number?

I don't think they are rare. But i dunno

I believe they are pretty rare. I also believe they are virtually useless, other than historical value. Smart Parts designed them to run on lower input pressure, but it turned out they weren't very efficient at all and had shootdown. But, I could be wrong, correct me if I am.

That's a CO2 tank valve, not the valve in question.

What valve exactly are you refeering to?

as stated above, it was an attempt by smart parts to make the mag run on a lower input pressure and be more efficent, but it was a total failure at that - it had some different milling on the reg half of it, like the 8 hole mods and ANS reg half, which did nothing at all

and some of them had the "smart box" a small air chamber that attached to the side of the valve that was supposed to increase the air volume of the firing chamber, thus lower the required input pressure, but that was false advertising, and was truly a method of letting the All Americans shoot hot (point gun downwards, let co2 fill the 'smart box', and fire a hot shot from liquid CO2 getting in the valve) - remember - this was back in the early 90's when even tourney teams used co2

you won't see too many of these valves floating around today, but there were a good number of them made way back when

I had one and it shot no differently than a stock classic valve. The only difference was that it said smart parts on the reg portion of the valve and it was about $300 for a so called "high performance valve."

I had one, and they are worthless. I experianced shoot down every time I pushed 5 pbs, I had it freeze up once or twice...the thing was a nightmare. The only value they have is AGD will accept them as trade-ins for the Go-Xvalve program...So if you can get them for less than $100, turn around and trade them in....mabey save a few bucks?

Either way they are a horrible attempt at reinventing the wheel.

My cousin has one. It's no different from the stock valve, except that it costed an crap load.

The reason I'm asking this is that the mag I have has one, and I just wanted to know if it was something special.

i've got one on my backup, and it shoots no differently then the valve on my no-longer-mine mag. as for value; i don't know if they are worth all that much.
