Ok here goes.

Lately I have been downloading some movies onto my computer(*ssshhhh*), but I havent found a videoplayer that lets me skip up to a certain point.

Take Windows Media Player for example. I'll drag the little horizontal bar to, say 20 minutes, where I left off, but it'll just go back to where the movie is currently playing from.

Does anyone else have this problem? Anyway way fix it or is there a player that allows you to go to a certain point in the movie? I've tried real player and a divx player, but it did the same thing, it even did it with the built in player in my download software.

I have also noticed that its only with full length movies, I can skip forward on music videos and such, or shorter movies, but not long ones, any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have the entire movie?

Sometimes if you don't it won't let you.

Depends on your comps power too, try winamp, it might take a while but it should load.

Yes, I have the entire movie.

I've tried winamp, it will just stop the movie and never start back up when i try to skip ahead.

hmmm...

Try BSPlayer. I use this program and I really never had any problems with it and plays just about any video file format.

That usually happens when you are downloading a streaming video and its not yet completely downloaded(usually wmv).

If thats not the case, Dont know what to tell ya.
