can halo's read brown shell

Well it's about time my season finally starts(me and my friends finally finished our new field) so i got to buy some paint. I found some competive edge on 888 but all they have in stock is brown shell. Can halo's read that?
What is the darkest color they can read?

They can read brown. They just cant read black.

A friend of mines Halo can read the real dark maroon half shell, and sometimes has trouble with the half black shell.

A friend of mine was using brown paint with a halo B, no problems.

my cousin uses brown in his halo and it works, but some of the marune didnt work

I used half black/half red at a tournament and never had any problems.. Except for when I jammed the halo with sawdust.. Then there was a problem lol
