These !@#%$# things are removable, right? I'm having a helluva time trying to get mine out (just got it today) and it's not budging.

From the looks of it, it was shipped with the feed cup tightened all the way down. Anyone have any ideas?

Feed cup? Probably talking about the feed neck, it is loctited on meaning get a lighter and and a strap wrench. You have to heat it where it meets the body and use the strap wrench to unscrew it.

No need to burn your ULE. Just use the strap wrench with some elbow grease...

I think you do need some heat to loosen the loctite holding it in. AGD uses some pretty strong stuff.

Mine was hell to get off too. What I had to do was soak it in hot water, and use a strp wrench to get it off. I did it on leave...my mom (I stayed at her place) had a good laugh watching me struggle...then swear at it, and do the victory dance (not pretty) when it FINALLY came off.

Oh yeah, this sounds like fun...

Stopped by HomeDepot last night, no strap wrenches. Am continuing the search today at lunch...

It's held on by the Red Loctite.

When Load SM5 and I attempted to remove my stock feedneck, he boiled it for a while. Then, using tongs, picked it up and tried the strap wrench on it.

That's how it should be done, but we beleive my feedneck has become crossthreaded and won't come off for anything.

Mine unscrewed when I tried to take off an unusually tight hopper. Now it wont come off again. Go figure.
