Hello,

I am looking to get my x-valve to shoot around 280fps, I can not get this with the middle spring, when I put the middle sized spring in and gas up, the gun will not shoot unless I have the valve up around 300FPS or above. Why is this? I can get 280 with the short spring but heard that I will not get best results shooting 280 with the short spring. Also the middle spring is cut off at the top, what way should I install the spring? Closed circle facing the top of the bolt or other way around?

Try using a looser carrier. You want to use the biggest carrier that won't leak.

As for using the short spring, it'll work just fine. It may not be AS SOFT as the mid, but it'll still stop on paint.

As for the spring, you want the cut end of it towards the bolt, and the full ring towards the inside of the gun.
