My Automag is only getting 300 balls out of a new 12oz co2. What do I need to do??? Help...

You could try an expantion camber or an inline regulator like an reg-1. Another thing you could try is buying a little nitro bottle like a 47 cui.

In the manual under PERFORMANCE 400good shots from a 7oz. CO2. I only got 300 shots out of 12oz.CO2. Is this O.K.???

What barrel are you using? What paint? What's your velocity? Are the 12oz tank(s) actually getting a full 12oz fill?

The gun is stock as far as I know. I am using 32 paintballs.

It depends on the quality of CO2 that you refilled from too!
My experienced in Thailand , the CO2 from stores could cause your problems. Some may let you shoot more shots , some are less , even we weight the tanks at the same.

I got 500+ balls out of my Tippmann 98 with the co2 from the same store.

Well , may be you should try as Temo Vryce said , add a Expansion chamber or regulator

It depends Sir
the Quality of CO2 and the Volume is difference.
in each Store when they filled it in(from the Big tanks) the quality of gas
but the if you filled it in fromthe same Big Tanks it should be nearly same quality

CO2 can be expand or get freazer it depend on Climates also
eg. when you get hot your CO2 will expand or increase its volume

Could it be a bad "O-RING"? Should I thank about getting calling the tech line?

If it's a Bad O-Ring then you should hear its leaking out of CO2
check every valves in the gun first you will hear it if something has leaking

At first I heard co2 comming out the regulator nut. I turned it until it stoped. Other than that I can not hear any co2 leaking. It shots very good and does not break any balls.

One more thing it is getting cold at night here and the tank had frost on it...

Should I get an Airgun Designs Factory Parts KIT?

a) leak in gun
b)store didn't fill it all the way, which a lot do.

Is it still leaking??? or if you don't here anything and the gun shoot well that 's not that Leaking problem anymore or if you not really sure just put it in water (when the gas is on the gun ,you will see the bubble come off from where it leaks)
PS don't put the Whole gun in it, just that part of the gun that you not sure

I do not know if it is leaking or not but to leak that much co2 in 15min I would think that you would hear it... The tank was very cold. I am going to a range this weekend and see what then. If I get know better luck out of it I will send the gun in to automag tech.

Yeah it's definately the quality of the fill. I got more shots on my Spyder with a 120z than with a 20 oz on my Minimag! Weird. Also, frost on your tank happens sometimes. Last game after when I was trying to get my tank off it was so cold it burned your hands! Haha I had to wait for like half an hour. Does anyone know why it gets so cold?

Woo Hoo, broke 300!!

you said that you were leaking out the back, and you turned the regulator nut until it stopped.

are you chronoing your mag?

if your tippman has more shots than your mag, could your mag be shooting at a higher velocity than your tipp?

I could be wrong about this but it's my understanding that as CO2 expands it gets colder. So the faster you shoot the colder your tank is going to get. I had a friend who had this beat with his mag but he went a little extreme. 2 20 oz bottles on remote. 1 Expansion chamber at the bottles going to the remoteline. Another expansion chamber on the mag going to an RG1, and then from the RG1 to the Mag reg. When he knew that he was going to be playing in colder weather he would put his bottles in a pair of electric heater socks. It was a little extreme but it worked.

CO2 doesnt expand as it gets colder. It actually contracts. The faster you shoot, the faster the pressure decreases. the faster it decreases, the faster the temperature drops. Boyle, Gay-Lussac, and some guy whose name starts with a "C" came up with this stuff. Pressure, Temperature, and Volume are all related. Temperature and Pressure are directly related. As temp rises, so does pressure. As pressure drops, so does temp. And the same thing goes if the pressure changes, as it rises, temp rises and as it falls, temp falls. Volume is pretty much constant while the gas is inside the tank. So as you are shooting, you reduce the pressure in your tank. As the pressure is reduced, so is the temp. Thats why CO2 tanks get very cold. And theres your science lesson for the day.
