You might be able to find a good deal on a Phantom for $150ish.

I got my phantom for $250, including both bodies. It was worth it, its a sweet gun.

look around some and you can find a used old school sheridan. good starter gun.
for a little more you could get your self into a decent sniper 2.
or, look around for a broken or unwanted cocker and you could put a pump kit on it for fairley cheap.

Im in the same boat with you, Ive recently desided to go ahead and take the plunge, not only for a change of pace, mess around marker, but also so I can play more ;) Were as I cant afford to go blow 120+(3cases+) on paint a weekend to play more then once, + air and the sort, I can prolly afford to blow a case or two one day, then use the leftovers and some 12grams the next day or two with a pump....

I am haveing a few small issues finding what I want though, Im going for a stock class, w/ hopes of some directfeed assessy and the sort

Phantoms are high priority for this reason, and mabey if a mirical happens, a Carter Buzzard or something fansy....

I've always been big on pump style markers... It's a different change definately took a while to get used to... It's not like you can spray and pray since your rate of fire is, well, limited... You have to pic your targets and hopefully they don't realize that you have a pump gun... Now I've been playing with my phantom for over 5 months and I've gotten really used to her to the point where I can hit everything I aim at 90% of the time... Phantoms are deadly accurate... Play with a pump for a while and when you go out and use your mag, you will be a better player... The best thing is when you go bunker a guy with a pump... That is always a good feeling... taking out on 4 guys running around with electros and you take them out with a pump... All it takes is one shot doesn't it? Why use all that good paint... Oh well that's my 2 cents....

That is a very nice Phantom. What kind of grips are those?
