Okay I'm in a weird kind of pickle. I asked a few different forums what compressed air tank would be best for someone without much money. Forum 1 said tanks A, B, or C. Forum 2 said tanks D, E, or F, etc etc. So, I have put together a list of tanks that suit my budget's needs (around $200). I ask, which of these would you suggest?

Air America
Angel (the cheap one)
Bulldog
Centerflag
Crossfire
Mac Dev
Nitro Duck

air america are the absolute best, but they r way out of your price range.

Nitro Duck's are awesome. You can get a fixed output 68/4500 for less then $200, and a screw-in adjustable 68/4500 for about $240.

I've heard some good stuff about Crossfire systems also.

What marker are you planning on using it on? If its a mag, keep in mind that the Angel Air (cheap one lol) and the Mac Dev systems dont have a high enough output pressure to run a mag.

I'm happy with my 88/45K Java stubby. We'll see in the next couple weeks how it performs on my new X-valve...

with a mechanical mag go with an adjustable definitely. you can get more bounce and performance that way. try looking for a used one on ebay. look for a air america or flatline. ive used both as well as pure energy. either get flatline or air america for sure.

I suggest you get a nitro duck but the bull dogs are rebuildable if it ever does fail. My nitro duck has never given me any real problems to ths date though. Plus i got it for only $129 at 888paintball.

Hrmmn... I am curious. What are the false problems that the Nitro Duck has given you, since it never gave you 'real' ones?

if you dont have too much cash i would recommend either a crossfire or the centerflag, the centerflag presets that is. i love my centerflags they have never failed me yet.

I'll tell you what I know. When A friend of mine changed from a java preset to a centerflag hyperflow preset, the consistency changed from +/-5 to +/-1. In short, stay away from java, and hyperflows perform great. I haven't tried any of the others, so I can't say anything about them.

From my experience, I'd vote for the Nitro Duck. Also, you didn't list PMI Pure Energy tanks, but the 68ci 4.5Ks are available for about $205 through xtremez.com.

It all depends on how much time you have. If you are not in a rush to get a tank I say look around for a used adjustable. I just picked up an AA geddon for 175 like new. If you want instant gratification I say crossfire but make sure you get a 4500. At most online stores they run around 180 or so.

apparently AO is just as bad as the rest....

i'd say you can't go wrong with most of those.

to throw some more out there, centerflag has always gotten my business. I'll keep giving it to them when I need air

I have a Crossfire 47/3000 that has been used for about 8 years with absolutely no problems. I also have a 88/4500 stubby that I got last year and haven't had any problems with it at all. I definately recommend these.

Um MacDev is definitely out because they don't make cheap tanks (although they work GREAT.. for me and some others even a WDP MT uses them and he's happy with his Conquest).
Also, Angel preset tanks are just basically a relabeled PMI reg + tank.

So there, 2 options out for you.

I'm using an A-5 with Respone Trigger... the reason I browse these forums is cause a mag is my dream marker. Anyways, I have narrowed down my list to:

Air America Raptor REX 68/4500 Adjustable OR if I can find an Armageddon or something
Crossfire 72/4500 High output preset
Centerflag 68/4500
Nitro Duck 68/4500

If I listed 68/4500 and that company makes a 70/4500, 71/4500, or a 72/4500, I would get the higher size. Heck, I might even get an 88/90/91/92 cubic.
