I thought the name was familiar, Capitale, 130 Bowery, NY, NY.

Anyone else think that this is a LITTLE excessive for a prom? I mean if we had some big name foreign dignitary coming it would be one thing... Maybe Bush or something... but umm ya...

I'm no longer surprised my prom ticket was $120. Holy crap. Great place, but now I'm not surprised that Prom committee is begging for money this must have cost a fortune. This is the problem with having 3 girls with a "oh its pretty and daddy will pay for it" mentality as your prom committee. Their parents will pay for the whole thing, but what about us people with parents who have us pay for our own stuff?

dont worry...

at least you arn't at the OTHER end of the spectrum. My prom committee MESSED up big time and forgot to reserve the place.... we ended up doing it in the LOWER SCHOOL AUDITORIUM! BOOOOOO

Our prom was supposed to be at windows on the world, which would have been sweet, so we ended up having it at this really crappy place instead.
Damn terrorists ruined my prom.

I have no clue where my prom is gonna be next year. I hope they have it at seaworld. There are so many cool places to go/see afterwards not to mention the best hotels for parties (which i will be hosting :D )

Ours is gonna be at San Francisco City Hall, supposedly a nice place. It was either that, or an abandoned air force hanger. I think our school made the right choice. ;)

You guys have the most ridiculous locations for prom...

Then again, mine is pretty ridiculous too, on the schools soccer field... in a tent.

Ours is at the Crystal Tea Room in Philly. i think its in the old wannamakers building  But my class raised so much money in the past 4 years that our tickets only cost 33 dollars a piece  If we didnt d any fundraisers they would have been about 120-150 a piece. we have a 13 piece band and a DJ and a 4 course meal. Its gonna rock

Every year Penn Hills HS has their prom on the Majestic which is part of the Gateway Clipper fleet. It's a really cool way to have a prom. It's also cheap because they do not serve dinner on the boat. If you want dinner you have to goto after prom, which to be honest, was pretty cool too (partying was saved for graduation night...prom was for the ladies). The other cool thing is that the prom is always on a Thursday, and then the entire school district gets off that following Friday for Kennywood day. Kennywood is a local amusement park.

I actually went to three proms in HS. My Jr year my GF was a year older so I went to here. Then mine the next year. I then ended up dating a girl that was a year younger, so I went to prom the following year. Hard to believe it's been 10 years already...

Here is a pic of the boat.

Ours was supposed to be on a nice boat like that Muzikman, but we ended up reserving a hotel. I'm not complaining, it's not a bad hotel, pretty nice actually. Plus, the tickets are $30 A COUPLE! :D

Now I just have to find a new date. :( (don't ask)

Great idea!!

You take your date onto the deck. Tell her what you expect later that evening. If she balks, over the side she goes!

Ours will be at a local hotel. It ain't bad, but it's kind of small. There are other places here in town that I think are better.

our prom is either held in our gym (really nice gym, it was payed for by a local business "tycoon" seats two-three thousand, nice stage, everything really nice, no bleachers, all padded seats.) or in the local civic center if our prom commitee remembers to reserve it. seniors tickets' are free, juniors' are 50, 80 for a couple. really nice, each year they out-do themselves.
