OWNERS GROUP DIVISION UPDATE

Fellow Owners Group Members,

I would like to update you with the Owners Group Division that is occurring at the International Amateur Open this summer.

First, You have just under a month now to form a team and send in the registration papers. They are due June 1, 2004.

Second, There has been a rule change regarding teams participating in the event. There is NO 50 mile rule any longer. (Rule I.1.c) Although it has been removed, there will still be a captain’s review and all teams must clear that process.

Third, we currently are expecting only around eight or ten teams to show. Our prize package has grown. Your chances are becoming ever greater to win wonderful prizes from our sponsors (listed below). Our prize package has reached $3,000 in value.

what was the fifty mile rule?

it was a rule aimed at prohibiting established teams from participating. the rule disallowed teams from having more than two persons on an og team who lived within a 50mile radius.

Is there any place set up to put together teams? Or should I head on over to meet & greet? This sounds cool, I just don't know if I'm gonna be able to fork over $100 for a "fun" tournament... :-\

there is one AO team going, if you guys want to try to form another team, that would rock. Head over to the meet and greet and make a post 'bout it!
