would an 8.5/10 inch (cant remember) dya stainless barrel be very accurate..compared to say a 12" jj ceramic or 12" lapco bigshot

i kno its sorta short..but i also hear paintballs are stabilized at around 8 inches

if i bought a gun with that barrel would a new barrel be an immediat upgrade..or is it an ok barrel?

That all depends on the kind of paint you shoot.

Paint comes in different sizes, as do barrels.

If the Dye fits the paint you use more often, then go for it. If it doesn't, then other barrels will be more accurate.

well compare it to paint to bore match...the dye w/ perfect paint vs a lapco bigshot 12" with perfect paint...will they be similar?

It's a polished hollow tube shooting the absolute WORST projectile known to man... Don't put so much thought into it.

I had really good results using a 14" dye ss with pmi prem and evil paint.

I actually have a stainless DYE around that length, which I purchased sometime around 95, and it works just the same as any other barrel I have ever put on the end of my Mag. I think that the only real difference is in the noise profile, which isn't that big of a deal in most cases.

Word. One of the most accurate barrels I have is a 7.5 in Bigshot.
