Roddy "Rowdy" MacDonald has been chosen as the new CEO of Miami Effect. He'll oversee all day to day operations of the team.

He's a friend of mine and great guy and I wish him well.

I know there are folks that don't like what Smart Parts has done in the past but don't let any Smart Parts negativity enter into this post please.

Pro wrestlers can do anything. Even governor of Minnesota(Jesse Ventura). Cool.

Pro wrestling?

Rowdy MacDonald retired from the Philadelphia Americans after their NXL win last year. He isn't the WWF wrestler. LOL. :D

Will they still be Miami Effect, or some new name I wonder?

I think they are going to be the "Miami Effect". The franchise was bought, name included. The team that made up Miami Effect was not known as "Miami Effect" before the NXL.

The current Miami Effect will be competing in Div 1 and NPPL, so they shouldn't be Miami Effect, but Effect would be cool.

The current players for Miami Effect will be playing NPPL and Div 1, but the name "Miami Effect" belongs to the new owners of the team. I suspect they (the original players) will be playing under a new name.
