Planning on making an indoor field.

Well for next year i think i might have my own in-door field and the 1st and only in-door field in here. But i dont have no idea how im gonna do the the floor of the fields. I was thinking fake grass or just rubber and foam in the floor but i dont know yet.

So any suggestions?

Most fields use a carpit inside a hockey ring which I think works nicely.

I am friends with someone who will be opening an indoor in a year or so in Pennsylvania. I found a company that makes and sells a great looks fake grass. It doesnt give you rug burn and is easy to clean up. Ill do my best to find the website later tonight.

^Thats the thread that I am part of. It has been up since late January, you can find great ideas in there. We(I) are still coming up with ideas, some include the best way to create the dead boxes or special services to the players.

All of the indoor fields that I have played had woodchip floors. Its uncomfortable to lay on but not so much that you get inujured if you dive into the stuff. I imagine that this is probably the most economical stuff to use as you can replace it cheaply if it gets loaded with paint. One if the better ones I played (in ohio) had a staging+chrono room that had some carpets and other things to keep stray woodchips out of the proshop/waiting room area.

What keeps me going back to an indoor field is

1. the people who work and play there.

2. extra fun stuff. like two level bunkers that add a 3rd demention to the field, and heavy duty fog machines.

ok the best indoor surface that i have played at is a place called dedicted paintball in madison wisconsin. they only have one feild inside their facility but what they did in this warehouse is build what i can only describe as a giant sandbox. they filled it with about a foot of dirt and then put the feild on that. its really cool its great because the dirt just soaks up the paint and the floor is never slippery.
