dvd back-ups run in selective media players- why and what do you use? [Archive]

many dvd backups i've made have randomly decided to only work in windows media player, or only work in WinDVD, or sometimes work in powerDVD. i would get an error saying that the disc may have been damaged to prevent playback, but works fine in my actual dvd player, and works in certain other programs on my computer. it's really frustrating, because it seems powerDVD doesn't like most of the backups i make and windows media player only likes some. winDVD plays them all it seems, but i only have the trial edition.

so...does anyone else run into this problem or know why it's happening? or how to fix it?

edit- this happens in stuff without any RCE/copyright protections as well.......

all i can say bro is xcopy. Make sure you get a version before the court order. Search ebay. 50 bucks. True perfect copies. Plays any media.
