View Full Version : Barrel Diameters - Who Needs Them?

I noticed that Dye has reduced the number of diameters availble for the Ultralite. They used to be available in .002 increments, starting at .684 and going through .694. Now they are availble only in .004 increments, starting at .684 and going through .692. I am going to put together a UL kit, and I was wondering if its worth trying to find the discontinued diameters? Does .002 really make a difference, or will I be okay with just .684, .688, and .692?

Thanks!

Most likely you'll be fine with those.

Probably not, quality paint is more important imo

If you're running an open bolt gun, get a .692 and be done with it.

i gotta say all these kits are overrated a nice two stepped bore or even single bore barrel medium-large bore has done it for me....

Paintballs aren't that consistent anyway. You just have to get close to the size of the ball for it to work properly. If you have a set of backs that are incremented in .04" increments, then you should be good to go.
