Well, here's mine: in its previous incarnations. Current version is not quite finished yet. Ive got to finish anodizing my ULE warp left mainbody before I put everything back together and release pics of what she looks like now.

alright! if anyone ever wondered what i do at 3 in the morning. . . here ya go!

Just finished up on incarnation number 3 of my z grip. (honestly, there were more like 6 versions/ styles i did with this gun.. . but now im done with it. for good. The '3' are just the ones that i showed off on the net.)

Oh, by the way. If anyone notices any white looking glaze anywhere on the gun, its remnints of the anodizing sealer- - i havent taken the time to completely clean it off yet. you cant really see it in person- - its just a 5 megapixel cam with a flash will show EVERYTHING sometimes.

P.S.
we all got these zgrips when they were still available. They've been out of production for a couple years now at least. There's not too many of them around. . .

Nice anno job Smokee :)

Wombo, the new updated Z-grip is the Y-grip. They're for sale as we speak from the online store or other dealers.

z-grips are dicontinued there no longer made other than finding them used ide just get a y-framae which is the newer form of the old z-grip tis the EXACT same thing juts not angles as for forward ide go with that ex since the z-grip would cost nearly as much

wombo102

do you have to teach your self how to use the y frame or does it just come naturally.

Chronobreak
05-26-2004, 09:12 PM
came pretty natural to me after about a game or so. i really like it and its great for speedball and they way i play but some poepl just dotn like it and doesnt go with their style of playing

wombo102

how fast can you shoot with it. what is it response or just semi or what.

Chronobreak
05-26-2004, 09:26 PM
its just an alternate frame i think your confused...it can be hooked up to a warp or hopper but other than thats its a standard mech frame ive hit up to 17 with it and prob around 12-13 avg with the stock on/off it all depends on the person

wombo102

What is that thing that extends the forward girp? It doesn't look like part of the rail.

I just put a y-grip on a mm rail and its too tight to fit a forward grip. :(

ERut

That is a KAPP foregrip extender. The Z-grip goes too far forward to put a foregrip on regualarly, and even with the extender, you have to file it down a little bit. You can put a foregrip on with a Y-grip, or with a Z you can get a rouge rail which will fit a foregrip.

I have a Z and I love it. It's pretty much the same as an intelliframe with an angle, but i am able to fire much faster with it. It seems like the pull is a little bit lighter on the Z, but maybe its just my imagination.

Thanks for all the compliments on the gun, guys.

hmm. . seems to be several questions about different things: here goes.

Wombo:

all the frames available from AGD currently (including the discontinued z-grip) are just plain 'ol semi only. No 'response' cam mechanisims in there anywhere.

eddie885221,

Yep, i wasnt happy with the yellow black either. When i did that, i was still learning about some different ano techniques and tricks. The result was that the blasted finish was too rough for my tastes, the yellow and black blended in this weird poop green color in the fade areas, and the different quality aluminum on the z grip colored differently than the rest of the marker. not to mention that i had one hokey looking setup for the warp feed on that ole stainless mainbody. it wasnt pretty, but it worked. Ive been slack on the newsletter for the past 3 weeks- - ive just had a TON of stuff going on. Currently planning on next months to go out the first of next week. Please let me know of any suggestions you might have for the letter.

The Spanish Inquisition:

ERut is right. It's a kapp foregrip extender. its simply a mounting bracket that moves the position of the foregrip forward. Im suprised that nobody has noticed this yet: mine is considerably shorter than normal. Check ANY pic in this thread of a z w/ foregrip, and compare that to the pics of my current setup. I wasnt happy with the spacing of the grip: it was waay to forward. Some quality time with a grinder, dremel, 5 degrees of sandpaper, and a blast gun resulted in the finish product appearing almost like it was made that way (hence why no one has noticed it yet) It's MUCH more comfortable this way, too.

for some reason i thought they were response because of how fast i have seen people walk the triggers.

ERut
05-28-2004, 01:46 PM
well, the pull usually isn't light enough to walk. Maybe you saw someone shooting in runaway?

This is the only mech trigger light enough to walk: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=130476
