2) It is a pneumatic device that goes inside the trigger frame. It considerably lightens the trigger pull from 2 pounds (stock) to 2-4oz. I'm not sure how exactly it works, but that's what it does. It may or may not be available as just a drop-in kit.
3) No, don't hold your breath. This will take a while.
