question about School internet

How do you get past those school filter blocks? Sometimes I use a language translator but pictures or flash things don't show up. Anyone know or can help?

www.proxify.com (maybe .net i cant remember)

the-cloak you can only use once a day unless you subscribe, so i just use proxify

in my school we can get onto the games sites that are blocked by putting a dot after the site.
for example:
www.addictinggames.com.
adding that dot after com gets passed it.
Or sometimes, like ebaumsworld, only the homepage of the site is blocked, so you can search for something within the site.

If you have cable or dsl and can setup a "server" at home,you can use terminal servies and remote desktop to get around all that crap.
