Take the DPB directory and put it in
C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\youremail@isp.com\half-life

So the DPB directory should be
C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\youremail@isp.com\half-life\dpb

Steam will automatically detect it and it should be on your games list under Third Party Games.
Or you can just download the full install off http://www.digitalpaintball.net and it should automatically install it to that directory.

Once we get the AO server up we enter AO into dpb tournaments?
We have an A and B team and a free agent team if need be.
I dunno how you want to set up the 2 teams. 7-10 guys each.
To figure out who's on which squad, we get the whole AO team into the server. We play oh say 3 different maps. I'll write the top 5 guys from each map. Then I'll figure out the A team and the B team captain.
This is just an idea how i think things should happen. Let me know what you guys think

yeah I'm all for some help with a nice site. I have my own personal web site with about 1 gig of space. I've filled about 500megs of it so I can lend out some space for a nice clan site. The only thing is that we'd have to get a domain or just something that would point to the URL I'd give to the site. Something like www.rossgunniv.com/aoclan/

ok we need to get back on track with this clan. Oysterboy and I are working on the site. For now I will just host it on my site till we can find out what to do with it. As for a server for game play... well I know nothing about all that, but if I can help I will. I can put a link on the site for members to pay with paypal to someones account. That way we can do donations and all that to pay for the server or whatever else we need.

Now I think we need to have some kind of AO Clan Creed. You know like a statment of what we stand for or how we act on the digital field. Something that a person would have to agree with to be apart of the team. Here are some ideas that I want to put out there and see which ones you agree with and which ones you don't

- NO CUSSING!!!!
- NO SP Jerseys
- Must Play with a Mag only
- NO Hacks or Cheating
- Must have DSL or Cable Connection
- Must Play with Legally Owned Copy of Half Life
- Must be supportive and give input and time to the clan
- Must support and promote Automags.org on and off the field
- Must live in the US


It's late so I can't think of anymore rules or requirments. Please give some input on this so I can put it on the site. The site should be up soon and I'll post a link.

Also I just found this site: Half-Life Digital Paintball Server (http://griffinrun.com/servers/dpb/index.shtml). I don't know if that's a good price or not for a server, but I think if we all chip in $5 then we can get a 12 man server. Again I know nothing about prices or servers. Just trying to help.

I don't know if the mag or the DSL/Cable thing is gonna fly... I mean, that rules out pump entirely, plus everybody needs a little variation once in a while!! And I know I for one have played dpb with 56k and it wasn't really that bad at all.

I can't remember who. It was on a map that he said he was catching up to my score and then the map changed.

The site is still being worked on. I'm just trying to come up with a good solid logo or header. I like the one Oyster Boy made, but I want something I can edit later on or that I can make in photoshop so other people can work on it if I'm not around. I'm going to Europe for a few weeks so I'll post the site before I go this Thursday. Please someone give me some more info that i can post on the site. Whoevever is taking the money for the server I would really like you to write up a little purposal and give me your paypal and home address so I can just make a link for people to donate to the site and server.

Also looking for some sugestions for the site. What do you want on it other then just a list of the people playing and a calander? I want to keep it simple, but still interesting to go to. I can add a small forum, guestbook stuff like that for free. What about pictures? If anyone can take some screen shots while playing that would be great to have on the site to show off the AO jerseys. I have the pictures from the other thread about the AO jerseys so I'll add that to the site along with links to AO and Automags.com.

We lost...it was at the hmus server and they kepy screwing around with it...so it was pretty bad...

yah i was in spectator the whole time, they were all like wanna mess with em, then they were like yah. Watch we'll bring the sv_friction down a lil so theyll slide
and then they changed gravity so balls move like a bbrass eagle pball

But even if they didnt AO wouldve got beat, they were schooling us pretty bad anyway
