View Full Version : Where can I find a cheap cocker body?

Hey there,
I looked through my closet recently and realized that I almost have enough spare parts to build a cocker. There are a few odds and ends to pick up but the main expense is finding a body. I am not picky and would proably want a right feed since they seem they would be cheaper. I know some people who have bought bodies for 25 dollars.

Im just wondering where I can get one. Is ebay my only hope or is there anyone that has one collecting dust?

Thanks for the help.

Ebay or paintball forums are prob your best shot. You might wanna try the worr forums, im sure someone on there has a er body laying around. http://www.wgppress.com/

Why go cheap when you can get this... www.electrococker.com/fastback/ :D ;)

Is there a ballpark of what I should pay?
I saw one on ebay for 50 but it looked beat up to hell.

Also can I run CO2 dirrectly into a cocker without a regulator. I have seem some markers where they just screw a bottle into the ASA. If I do this do I need to get a different spring for the valve and hammer?
Thanks

I foyu run co2 through a cocker you should have a stabalizer or expansion chamber but you can use co2. If the body looks beat up dont buy it. If i were you i would save a little money and buy a new body. They have some pretty sweet ones available.

I have a fore grip that has a ton of internal volume, Basically an expansion chamber.

If I have that as a fore grip though what do I need to get the internals working right. I know how the velocity adjustment works but what springs will I need to use internally. I have another cocker and I use a WGP Ergo reg to lower the input preassure to 300psi.
It seems like if I put 1000psi from co2 into the marker it would mess it up with the same springs.

Thanks for the help

What do you think of this?

The price is the ballpark I was after, Under 50 dollars.

That doesn't seem to have a feednack or frontblock. Your better off finding a body on a forum.

Something I am wondering is what are the compatibility issues between the 99 cockers and the 2000s.
I already have a front block. I am just unsure if it would make a difference if it is 00 or 99.
Besides the front block are all 3 ways, rams, and LPRs compatible on each varriation?
Thanks

Edit: I just saw the offer on the AIM body. Sorry but the price is a tad steap. I am trying to build this cocker for under 100 dollars of parts not counting the value of what I already own.
So far I have spent 22.50 and Im about to get 10 back by selling stuff Ive got.

I still need the body, back block, internal valve, hammer, velocity adjuster, and the 3 external rods. Cocking rod, Ram rod, and the 3 way rod.
I think I can get all that for under 90.

99 front blocks will not fit 2k up. The screw hole is a different size.

Back blocks don't really matter. Just make sure the bolt and back block are matched. The only difference is the length of the bolt. I have a 2k back block and 2k bolt on my 99 body.

I admit I like the AIM bodies. But they are 300 and I wanted to keep the cost of the body closer to 50.
If you can get one that cheap then great but I dont think you would be making a profit at the price Im after.

The whole point of this cocker is to be a cheap one. The pneumatics I bought are stock. The high end pieces on it are the bolt and barrel. Its a 14 inch all american and the bolt is an all delrin replica of the Bonebrake bolt. It wont be pretty or fast but it will be accurate. :D

Thanks for the info ZAP.
Since you seem to know about cockers can you tell me if I can run co2 into the asa or do I need a regulator. If I dont need a reg will I need a specific spring on the valve to get the marker to chrono in right?

Thanks a lot.

if you have a 99 front block and are looking for a 2k body, i'll swap you a 2k shocktech front block(red) for any 99 front block.
Project cocker is almoast done
